This policy covers the Trueprint app for Mac. For this website, see the syncedco.com privacy policy.
Trueprint does not collect any data
Trueprint is a Mac app made by SyncedCo Ltd. It reads the Content Credentials inside photos and videos you open, and shows what they record. Everything happens on your Mac.
- Trueprint has no internet access. macOS does not allow it to connect to the internet.
- The files you check never leave your Mac, and Trueprint does not keep copies of them.
- There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
- We do not receive any information about you or the files you check, except as described below (crash reports from Apple, if you allow them, and emails you send us).
What Trueprint keeps on your Mac
Trueprint only reads the files you choose to open. It may remember small app settings, such as your window size, and macOS may list files you opened recently in File › Open Recent. These stay on your Mac and are never sent to us.
Information Apple may share with us
If you have turned on Share with App Developers (System Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements), Apple may give us crash reports and usage figures for Trueprint, which Apple says do not identify you. Apple controls this, and you can turn it off at any time. We use them only to fix problems and to understand how the app is used. Apple’s own privacy policy covers the App Store and your download.
If you contact us for support
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply and help you. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering your request. We keep support emails for up to 24 months after your last message, then delete them, and you can ask us to see or delete them at any time by emailing support@syncedco.com. Our email is handled by Google Workspace. Your other rights under UK data protection law, and how to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, are in the syncedco.com privacy policy.
Questions about this policy can be sent to support@syncedco.com.
If this changes
If a future version of Trueprint ever needs to handle data differently, we will update this page before that version is released, and the App Store privacy details will change to match.
